I'm a LEED AP, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional. Many schools tout their new LEED facilities, but can I assume that adcoms know what that is? Is writing this out on my resume enough? In my essays I want to bring home the connection between my green background and future sustainable aspirations. At the same time, this really eats into critical word counts for essays. Advice would be greatly appreciated.
...also, Bureau of Labor and Statistics vs. BLS?
Acronyms, do I need to write out BLS, LEED?

you bring up a good point, and that is to leverage your resume to spell out the acronym, where the word count is not an issue. B-schools use resumes as map keys for your application, so I would agree that simply spelling it out there should give them enough info.
