(1) x is a multiple of 3.GmatKiss wrote:IMO: C
If x = 6, then x^3 = 216, and 216/10 gives a remainder of 6.
If x = 9, then x^3 = 729, and 729/10 gives a remainder of 9.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.
(2) x is a multiple of 5.
If x = 10, then x^3 = 1000, and 1000/10 gives a remainder of 0.
If x = 15, then x^3 = 3375, and 3375/10 gives a remainder of 5.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.
Combining (1) and (2), x is a multiple of 3 and 5.
If x = 15, then x^3 = 3375, and 3375/10 gives a remainder of 5.
If x = 30, then x^3 = 27000, and 27,000/10 gives a remainder of 0.
No definite answer; NOT sufficient.
The correct answer is E.
