The course I want to get into in all of the schools mentioned is Msc Marketing Management because I don't have much work experience and my courses in college weren't entirely business-specific. Any thoughts on my profile? Do you think I have a good change at getting into those schools? Any other school suggestions for me? Thanks so much!

Hello baume7, thanks for your question.

mbaMission specializes in MBA programs, not Masters of Marketing programs, so I do not feel comfortable assessing your chances of gaining admission into those types of programs.

But the advice I would offer you is in many ways similar to that I would offer an MBA applicant. For example, you have not indicated your career goals. What the admissions committees will look for is a connection between your past and your future. Do your career goals make sense given what you've done and studied and who you are? Do you need an MBA to realize those goals? If you want to get an MBA, my advice to you is to nail down your short and long term career goals, work in jobs that start you on that path, and always strive to drive results and demonstrate your leadership at those jobs. Moreover, align your non-work activities with your passions and proactively seek out opportunities; the quality of your community/volunteer work matters more than the sheer quantity. When you apply, make sure to clearly state how an MBA and, specifically, the program fit within your career plan.

I am also attaching a link to mbaMission's free Personal Statement guide. It would be helpful for non-MBA applicants too.

I wish you luck and hope you find this useful.

Brian
