Mean=8.1 ounces
SD=0.3 ounce
within 1.5 SD of the mean (ie)
1.5 SD =1.5*0.3=0.45
within 1.5 SD of the means (ie) values bw mean-0.45 and mean+0.45
bw 7.65 and 8.55
Only 7.51 is not in this range.
So 11 values

I agree with selango's explanation and answer. I just wanted to caution you to read the question carefully. I came across one question that asked for 1 SD below the mean/ negative SD. I did not read carefully and arrived at the wrong answer.
