B School admission

by jangojess » Fri Sep 28, 2007 11:23 am
Hi,

This is Jesson and i'm pretty new to this forum. I have heard about the fall and spring admissions in B schools. Can someone please explain the difference b/w these two intakes? I would also like to know the deadlines (application deadlines, when the actual classes will start etc.) for each intake. If i'm writing GMAT by the year end for which admission do i need to look for?? Hoping to get a early and +ve response from you all.
Trying hard!!!

Hi Jesson,

Take a look at the sticky thread about applying in R1 and R2. R3 is considered a tough round to apply in, and should be generally avoided. For international schools the process can be slightly different, so you'll have to figure out the schools you are interested in before researching their processes.

If you're referring to schools like Columbia who have classes starting in the Fall and accelerated MBAs starting in January, the difference is that the accelerated program has classes in the summer when the 2 year MBAs are doing internships.

Deadlines vary by school. They are all posted on the websites of each school.

Good luck!
