Essay length

Would exceeding the word limit by exactly 10% on every essay be frowned upon or even worse????

Word limits are word limits. If you exceed word limits, your application may not be even considered. This is because, it reflects that:

1) You fail to communicate effectively in a few words.
2) You fail to follow instructions as a future leader.
3) You come out ignorant or arrogant when there is a pattern.

They usually run your essays through a software to check your word limit. Don't take chances, it isn't worth it. Follow the instructions. :)
