Hi,

I'm studying to sit the GMAT in a few days, and have a few questions regarding the use of supporting evidence in the essay sections. Do stated facts and figures used to support an argument need to be factual? Can the facts and figures just sound realistic and reasonable? Since you are unable to do research on a topic under the GMAT exam conditions, and there is no requirement for information stated to be referenced, is it reasonable to assume that I can make up supporting evidence that sounds about right?

What do you think?
