Please help in solving these questions

IMO - D ---had been needs some condition e.g had been if.... so A,B,C gone...E is passive tense....Hence D

IMO - C ...A,B wordy using it is not necessary C forms bettter parallel sctucture with the earlier pharse 'the first book by a Black woman'

IMO - A -- parallel with 'preheats the fuel'

IMO - A abe,ablility are not needed here so,C,D,E are gone.A is short and consice as compare to B...

IMO -B Will or could,will be or cold is incorrect think is not needed

IMO - B ...as ....as is ideom ....Like is used to compare only nouns hence C,D,E incorrect ..A don't follow as...as stucture correctly.
