Ask Stacy Blackman

Hi.
I'm from Portugal and I'm thinking of applying to Darden for the MBA starting in 2008. I'll like to know if you think I have a chance of getting in.

My Toefl score is 115/120 (TOEFL IBT)
My GMAT score is 650 but i'm retaking the test in october.Still don't know the AWA score.

I have 4 full years of work experience.
2 year in a robotics investigation company.
2 years as a technology consultant at Deloitte Portugal

I don't know my GPA, in Portugal we have a different grade scoring system. i finished with an average grade of 14 (20 is the maximum).
I finished with a 19 score final project (should I mention this in my application?)
I graduated in January 2004 and my major is Computer Science.

Hi Andre,

What are your goals? Extracurricular activities? I'm not sure I have enough information to help very much, especially without an understanding of your GPA system.

Your GMAT is a bit low for Darden, but because it's a holistic process you could be competitive. If you have strong grades, great work experience and strong extracurriculars and can communicate your goals and experiences clearly and with self awareness you may have a good chance.
