Hi everyone..

I have 3 weeks time to study for the GMAT math section. I need to significantly improve my math score.

I own the GMAC GMAT Math book which is the official study guide. I don't have time to purchase any new books.

I am hiring a teacher. What do you suggest we go through and what is the best study strategy that you could recommend?

I forgot to mention...

Where can I find an explanation on how to solve every type of math question (ex. geometry etc.) that appears in the GMAT?

Is there a link to a file which has an explanation on how to solve each type of question that appears in the exam? That would be a great help as we could go through that material with a teacher.

as far as subject-specific preparation, your best bet is probably the manhattan gmat strategy guides. you've said that you don't have the time to buy any new books, though**, so, if that's the case, then those are out.

if your time horizon is that short, you should concentrate exclusively on the problems that appear in the official guides. go through them and MAKE CONNECTIONS between the different problems, trying as much as possible to place problems in the context of other problems. in other words, don't solve the problems in isolation; after you solve each problem, review it, note the signals in the problem that tell you what strategy to use, and make a mental note of those signals for future problems.

**you don't have 3 minutes to jump on amazon and order some books?
