The new 700
This topic has expert replies
Will the 700 become a lackluster milestone as an increasing number of people take the GMAT? My 710, which falls in the 92nd percentile, was in the 93rd percentile 9 months ago. Is this a trend that will continue, or will the test makers increase the difficulty of the questions in order to maintain the current score level? Hopefully, we don't see Harvard, Stanford, Wharton GMAT averages at 760+ in a few years.

my guess is the test will just get harder. that's the purpose of having so many experimental questions in there. although probably gradually, the test makers will probably tweak it so as to keep the relative merit of a 700 the same.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right, but it will not come near you.
