Tutoring question

by gmattesttaker2 » Sat Oct 19, 2013 9:17 pm
Hello,

I have been doing self study for some time now but am now thinking about signing up for a private tutor who will offer one-on-one tutoring. I was just wondering how much do tutors in India usually charge for hourly online sessions?

Thanks a lot.

I can tell you about Delhi. In Delhi, Wisdom Mart charges around Rs 700/hr for one-to-one face-to-face session. But, I don't know about the quality of the faculty they have. I am sure they would also provide one-to-one online sessions.

I took coaching from Jamboore, NFC in Delhi and I can say that it was average. Good quant teacher, but average verbal teacher. Their online tests are not good representatives of actual GMAT. Also, they don't show you the score (neither scaled nor total score out of 800), they just tell you the number of questions correct.

I would suggest you to take face-to-face classroom sessions as they are much more interactive and beneficial.
