IMO :
1.A (subjunctive)
2.C (chose C between A and C)
3.B (noun, not pronoun is required)

Here are the OAs and my doubts for each of the questions. Any feedback is greatly appreciated:
1.A.....shouldn't it be "requirement for" instead of "requirement that"?
2.C.....Why not A? The discovery could have been made by archeologists also. Isn't scientists an unwanted introduction of a new subject in the original statement?
3.B.....Why not A? Same reasoning as that of 2 above.
Thanks for your time.

1. When used as a subjunctive, we use "Requirement that"

2. Well you are right. The discovery could very well have been made by archaeologists or as a matter of fact anybody. But you have to mention the noun/subject. A lacks that.

3. B and not A because B is a better option. The noun hasn't been mentioned prior in the sentence and as such it is better to use a construction with a noun. In my opinion, in the absence of option B, A would have been the correct answer.

E.g. : Ram is going to the market. Having kept his shopping bag in the car, he drove off.
The above sentences are correct. Now, if you are given "Having kept his shopping bag in the car, he drove off." as a GMAT question and 2 options :
A.Having kept his shopping bag in the car, he drove off
B.Having kept his shopping bag in the car, Ram drove off
Which would you select?

1 E
2 C
3 B

In the first sentence the pronoun each refers to a singular noun. Therefore the singular 'returns' should be used
