1 year is actual too much if you ask me. Honestly 3-4 months should be enough. If you're not seeing any improvement, either you are not studying properly or you are not using the right books. Identify whether its the former of latter and then you will be able to do better.

Identifying the areas in which you are facing difficulty and then addressing it one by one is the way to go. That's how i aced the GMAT.

If the ratio of your mistakes in SC:CR:RC is 8:4:5, then that means you need to full focus on SC for the time being and become really good at it. Did you identify the areas you are weak in ? Honestly speaking, Princeton book is good for basics only. Kaplan is fairly good but given that you didn't do well, let me know the areas and maybe I'll be able to suggest something.

Congratulations on the great score! I hope you get through the schools you have applied. One word of caution though is that don't take the essays and the rest of the application process lightly just because you have a great score. Commendable improvement. Usually it is a bit dicy when a person is at 700 or 710 and he wants to retake the GMAT. Sometime people end up getting lesser than what they have on their first attempt but you pulled off a coup. Great performance.
