Ohh, i couldnt agree more that the questions in the gmatprep and OG questions will even resemble the ones on the real exam. Just a question

Since we have the absolulte value of x+y and both x and y and absolulte value, shouldnt both of them together be 5?

thats my reasoning.

Let x be the operating a commission costs the year before

x * 1.1 = 550m

x = 500m

550m + 500m = 1050m

You really should watch your punctuation on your questions. The question mark after 1000 is improper and confusing.

I believe the answer is E but dont quote me on that 8)
