x - selling price
150 - original price
0.4 = 40%
So just read the wording:
x = 150 + 0.4x
0.6x = 150
x = 250
250 - 150 = 100
right?

Eric, a question for you re self made flash cards
Eric, Someone told me I have to make a flash card and put thought and time into it for each problem I got wrong (verbal and math). Well, I have over 200 handwritten colorful flashcards, but here's the deal. I still have 200 problems unsloved in OG, never touched the Verb and Math books (300 each), a...

My Kaplan subscription expires in 20 hours, and I had 2 things unfinished there. I logged in and finished them. What can I say after three months total preparations (two of Kaplan and month of OG). OG questions are way more logical and easier in a way. I am greateful to Kaplan for giving me strategi...

Thank you Eric. So you're saying I shouldn't do 3 tests (as I have planned) this week? I'm pounding the OG, and creating a flashcard for every problem I got wrong; in your opinion, is the a danger of overstudying or something like that?
Thank you again.

what tests to take a week before the real one?
I have Manhattan, Princeton, Kaplan and GMAC's CATs (I've done each of CATS twice now).

Thank you Guest. I'm studying like a mad man, and thinking the same. I'll do 6-8 hours each day this coming week, 3 more cats, and then stare at the flash cards all sunday, sleep, eat, watch a movie on monday, and go take it up the .. on tuesday, the 13th. More advice and strategies for my last week...

I really need your advice
I started studying for GMAT in August. First Kaplan diagonstic was... 350. Then I worked at it and reached 600s in Kaplan. Three weeks ago I discovered this website and started the OG 11. I have taken a few intense work trip that have interrupted my studies, so I'd say I studied for about 3 months t...

guys, I don't understand how you get this:
(1/L) + (1/J) = 1
So, (1/J) = (x-3)/x
I end up with something else when subbing.

I figured this out today as well (semi-guessed, but got it right). Anyway, I apologize for probably stupid question, but what does this mean??? What are P and C in these:
4P2 = 12 ways but 4C2 = 6

I got stuck on this problem (the circle) a few days ago as well. I derived a rule from it, that in questions like that, if the angle is 90 degrees, the points won't me mirrow opposite, but will be reverse mirrow opposite. Maybe this sounds like BS, but if you try to draw it carefully a few times and...

Thank you guys. I got freaked out on time, and when started subbing the numbers in it, picked simple numbers, but not the ones that work with the task, so I just guessed and moved on. THe score was good anyway, but I missed at least 4 problems, which are really basic, and should pop up right away. T...
