Please read about my quant feedback here: http://www.beatthegmat.com/after-1-5-years-finally-done-710-q-47-v-42-t287139.html#758774 I strongly recommend Empowergmat. I went from 45 to 49 consistently (though in that post I scored a little lower on my actual exam because I was a bit rusty from focusi...

After 1.5 years, finally done. 710 (Q:47, V:42)
I can't believe it but I am now finally able to write this once and for all. I took my test this past Saturday and got a 710 (Q:47, V:42). While I wasn't happy about my Quant performance considering I've always scored 49, I was more than happy with my Verbal score. I've never scored that high before...

Thank you everyone for your feedbacks.. I really appreciate it. I was debating whether I should speak to someone else about my progress but 3 experts on my first post here seems pretty good for now. I don't know what is causing the disconnect. I thought it was because I was retaking practice exams o...

I can't, I just can't!!!
So even though I wanted to write on this forum after beating the gmat, I got beat again today for the 5th time. Yep 5th time. I just can't.. I haven't been able to beat my first score of 670, with a Q45 and V37 ever since June 2014. All exams post that attempt were anywhere from 620 - 680. Today was...

sum of integers questions
hi everyone, This isn't an OG question but as I was reviewing my index cards a thought occurred to me and I wanted to make sure about it. Say for instance we're asked to find the Sum of all multiples of 4 between 0 and 100. I know one method is to find the (average) * (number of multiples between 0-...

Loved reading your story - I am starting to prep one last time and feel very much in tune with your message. I initially was told that I had to just solve a million problems and eventually I will get it - so so silly of me! I am going to efficiently study and make use of my daily time to have as man...

BTG-PQ "Pump A can empty a pool in A minutes, and pump
Please see attached image below: I understand the following (and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) Pump A empties Pool in A minutes Pump B empties Pool in B minutes so in 1 minute: A empties 1/A of pool and in 1 minutes: B empties 1/B of pool so if they started the same time, it would take: 1/A ...

^thank you... darn i wish i could SEE what you're seeing. the fact that you don't have to solve for the actual value since you have 2 'set' values of 2 sides of the triangle or that you can draw a perpendicular line to divide 6 sq rt 3 by 2, to get 3 sq rt 3, and get a 30 60 90 triangle. :( thank yo...

BTG-PQ "If CD = 6, what is the length of BC?"
ok so obviously i'm having some trouble understanding solutions. http://s4.postimage.org/vpfw0b38/btg.jpg i don't understand how statement A is sufficient. The video solution states that since we're given that BD = 6 sq. rt 3, that makes triangle BCD only one specific triangle with side 6, 6 sq. rt ...

BTG-PQ "K IS A SET OF INTEGERS SUCH THAT" ...
K is a set of integers such that i) if x is in K, then 2x is in K ii) if each of x and y is in K, then x + y is in K Is 15 in K? (1) 1 is in K. (2) 3 is in K. I initially thought that X & Y had to be 'set' numbers but the solutions makes it sound like it's not. Statement 1) if 1 is in K, then 1(...
