when given 5^21 * 4^11 = 2 * 10^n,
simplify 4^11 to 2^22 to get, 5^21 * 2^22 = 2 * 10^n.
then, simplify again to get, 10^21 * 2 = 2 * 10^n.
you can clearly see that n = 21.

1) x + y = z or x = z - y multiply by -1 to get: -x = y - z -x = y - z, therefore the statement can only be true when x is negative. -(-x) = |x|, so when x is negative, it's true -x != |x|, so when x is positive, it's false 2) x<0 Not enough information. 1 and 2 together tells us that since x<0, the...

Hmm, I took it as a probability problem. I first got the probability of choosing beer only drinkers in the room: 40/100 * 40/100 + 60/100 * 30/100 = 34/100 Then, I got the probability of choosing beer and mixed drinkers in the room: 40/100 * 20/100 + 60/100 * 20/100 = 20/100 Finally, to solve the pr...

First, you should realize that the small side of the rectangle is half of the long side. This is b/c of the 2 inscribed squares. Therefore, you get: 6x=18sqrt(2) x=3sqrt(2) Then, the diagonal of the squares is also 3sqrt(2). So, a side of the square is 3, b/c the diagonal forms a 45, 45, 90 triangle...

This might be a dumb question ...
Do RC questions for a particular passage show up consecutively?
I've been practicing with the OG for now, and all of the questions relevant to a passage show up at the same time.
I've searched on many sites, but nobody seems to be asking this question...
Am I missing something??
