Thanks Ashwin,
Specially I liked the approach of making it 15 m long. However, the answer is not 3/5.
it picked out unique branches and left out common. We need to find the total leftovers.

I considered this problem this way :
Q said NET amount paid is 720 $. So if they are asking only for B, then if B works all alone for 15 days he will receive 720 $. So daily avg rate for B will be 720/15 = 48 $.

I solved it following way
Let 100 be the people who bought fruits. 10 people bought all three.
So now we have 50, 40 & 25 people to fit in 90.
50 + 40 + 25 = 115.
115 - 90 = 25 people have to buy two fruits.

I solved it following way :
total distance traveled by both Anand and Ram = 180
9 A + 8 R = 180 -- Eq 1
relation between R & A,
3 A = 2 R -- Eq 2
After substitution, we will get A = 60/7 i.e. B
