1. Yes, it is subjnctive mood. It also tests misplaced modifier. IMO B
2. C looks bst out of all. However, I do have a doubt here, can "where" refer to "community"? Most of the time we use "where" to indicate "place". Please clerify.

Here article "the" ahead of collective noun "police" makes it singular noun that represents whole class. Hence I think it should follow "is".

Is it D?

@ CITI29
Are you sure answer is "D"? To me "at" before "not only" in option D sounds odd..."at" should be after "not only" for parallel construction...

Hi, Since it's equilateral triangle length of the arc made by each side will remain same, i.e. Length of arc AB = Length of arc BC = Length of arc AC....(1) --> Length of arc ABC = 24 --> Length of arc AB + Length of arc BC = 24 --> 2 * Length of arc AB = 24...........(From (1)) --> Length of arc AB...

Even I had same confusion. However, I found out that in Option A phrase "equally serious" shows extrimity in the statement which is not supported. And so B is better choice here.

Hope it clerifies.

One more thing,

Take together, plug into eq (a)
p(w or e) = 17/25 + 5/25 - 0 = 22/25

Here you took P(e) = 5/25....It should be 12/25...5/25 is actully P(w) - P(e)

And on taking

P(e) = 12/25, P(w or e) comes to 29/25....which is wrong..

sorry dude...:)...but some problem in your assumption..
