Thanks Essaysnark. There are a lot of hidden gems in your reply which is quite useful to me to improve myself and my application before next year. I like your idea on writing the essays for this year for my schools of choice to see where I am and if neccesary get involved in plugging the gaps. I wil...

Hi MNMBA, Have you taken the GMAT business Ready courseware? If so, can you please provide any feedback? BTG members , does engaging in courses like these give an applicant any benefit in the eyes of the adcoms? I am looking to familiarise myself with some basic MBA courses as I come from an enginee...

Hi, I agree with the answer choice, but not with part of the explanation posted above. This looks like a passive construction to me: Reconstructing the sentence for better understanding: A market for bygone styles of furniture and fixtures has grown out of America's fascination with all things antiq...

Hi Abhi,

I think there is something wrong with this question. If y>0 then |x-3| can NEVER be less than -Y.

|x-3| is always positive so I think the Q should be y<0.

Also, I think this question has been discussed before in BTG.

Well, here's what I think. An assumption is an unstated premise that helps strengthen the conclusion. If the author needs to conclude that the governor is the only person who can veto against the pension enhancement program, he/she will need to assume that the legislature is supporting/will support ...

I think C. Whats the OA? (A) The governor wants to reduce the benefit of the package Legislature cannot reduce the benefits and we dont know if the governor can or not. Additionally, the governors VETO might affect the pension ENHANCEMENT program, so nothing is getting reduced here. (C) The legislat...

Hi NetQuickObsessed, Congratulations on your great score. IMO, 710 crosses the median scores of most the top 20 B Schools in the US. So well done. However, I have heard people on this forum say that some schools ask for over a 80/80 percent split in BOTH sections of the GMAT. So if your target schoo...

I have a doubt on the parallelism objects chosen in the OE: The below construction looks right to me (E): The coloration of insects can serve as comouflage The coloration of insects can serve to warn predators However the explanation suggests the following (C): The coloration of insects can serve as...

D for me as well. Whats the OA Bhumika? I usually make mistakes in these Q's (a-b)c < 0 2 options: (a-b) > 0 && c<0 - I (a-b) < 0 && c>0 - II A. From II, a<b B. From I, c<0 C. |c| < 1. can be proved easily D. From the original equation, ac - bc < 0, so ac<bc - Bingo E. To prove (a-b)...

Of course that does makes sense. One more thought came to my mind I think "colon" indicates that there is a list coming in, so we can't use "including :" but "including the following :" Here, we can use "including" alone without a colon. Also the MAN SC quest...
