Given, angle BAD = x angle BDC = 2x angle BCD = 2x From this we can figure out that angle ADB = 180 - angle BDC = 180 - 2x From this angle ABD = 180 - (angle BAD + angle ADB) = 180 - (x + 180 - 2x) = x From choice 1) AD = 6. Since we know if two angles in a triangle are equal then the sides opposite...

This is a parallelism question. The pronoun following the first sentence has to be about the noun grayfalcon. That would leave us A and B. 'greater than' or 'more than' Since the sentence is talking about numbers we should go with 'greater than'. 'More than' can be used if we are talking about nouns...

This is tricky but once you understand the question it should be easy. 1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds The question is how many 18ths of a kilogram are in a pound. So let's first get the number of kilograms in a pound. 1 pound = 1/2.2 kilograms = 10/22 = 5/11 kilograms Let's consider A to be to be the numbe...

Let's write it down a bit a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 = 6 Now let's use an = an-4 for the other terms a5 + a6 + a7 + a8 = a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 = 6 a9 + a10 + a11 + a12 = a5 + a6 + a7 + a8 = 6 So every 4 terms you repeat the same pattern. a1 + a2 + a3 +a4 + (a1 + a2 + a3 + a4) + ....so on So you repeat the same t...

drhomler,

Looking at your analysis and the answer of 20 it seems to me that your question has to change a bit.

I think the question should be [sqrt(9 + sqrt(80)) + sqrt(9 - sqrt(80))]^2
Your initial question stem was different.

Please confirm.

a1,a2,a3,a4 are given As per the infinite sequence formula an = an-4 a5,a6,a7,a8 are a1,a2,a3,a4 respectively. So the sequence keeps repeating every four numbers. Let's first get the sum of a1 + a2 + a3 + a4 = 6 No we have to get the sum of 83 terms. We know to get to 80 terms a1,a2,a3,a4 get repeat...

Last week I wrote my GMAT and got a 650 :( Quant ( 48 ) and Verbal ( 32 ) A few things I realized are: 1) DON'T JUST DEPEND ON KAPLAN AND DON'T TRUST KAPLAN SCORES Until the final week I spent all my time on KAPLAN. (Kaplan CD, Kaplan Book and Kaplan 800) In my initial practice I did work on OG but ...

Once you cancel the power of 2 and the square root you get 9 + (something) So you can eliminate A and B. So the answer has to be C, D or E Let's write the equation 9 + sqrt(80) + sqrt(9-sqrt(80)) If you want to guess the answer you could say 80 is pretty close to 81 so sqrt(80) ~= 9 The equation bec...
