dmateer is right. You should report to five schools on the first attempt, because even if you take it again, they will still see it. When you send your report to schools, they will see your last three attempts. Plus, it is expensive to send additional reports. Send out five on test day! Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, dmateer25. I am closer to making a decision now with a whole new set of criteria. I've tried to step out of my personal bias, mainly financial, and make the best choice for the long term. My original thought was to attend the school of the best value, fit, and location. But no...

I awoke to a call from Booth...I'm accepted from off the waitlist! I had almost forgot that the next decision day was tomorrow so I wasn't expecting a call. It feels great to have another option! I had decided on UCLA over USC after getting all of the financial aid info (at last!) and found that the...

I think they try to call all of the admits on the day before the decision deadline. I was admitted in Round 1, and Joanne left me a message to call her back, which I did after the office was closed. I was surprised later that night when she called me from her cell phone at 8pm Eastern just to make s...

Hey guys. Not too much news here. I'm in a very slow part of the admission's process. But progress has been made and the decision is down to UCLA and USC still. I sent in my official declines and "I hope that we can still be friends" emails to UW, Texas, UCI, and Darden. It's a little unne...

First, you should call the first school's admission's office and tell them that you are waiting for a decision from another school and would like an extension for your deadline. They can do that for people, but not always. If you can't get an extension, then the game is you have to pay the deposit f...

The deposit varies with the school, along with the amount of time they give you to make a decision. The time is anywhere from 5 weeks (UCI) to four months (UCLA). Although I've heard that you can extend your decision deadline by calling in and asking for more time. I'd just give them the classic lin...

There were no separate scholarship applications, they just consider everyone who applies. They have different categories of fellowships and scholarships that do take into consideration just about everything from race, age, regional location (usually for local applicants), and field of industry. But ...

Nice! UCLA would be a great option. It has an amazing program and it is very hard to beat the location. My news today was the offer letter from USC gave a half-tuition fellowship in it! That's about $49K based on their estimated tuition. That's pretty much the best offer that has been made so far. S...

I'm just trying to wait it out until I have every school's final offer. Waiting a few weeks for UT-Austin ended with some cash on the table. But USC seems to be really distant in their admission's office. They still haven't called me and their congratulatory email was two sentences long. So I'm gues...

That's a great question. One I should be researching right now. Anyone else know about third-party fellowships/scholarships for MBAs?

Alright. There is more news for the record. First, Darden's letter reported a warm welcome to the school and community but nothing else other than a nice leather binder. With no merit scholarship from them and a high price tag, I will not be attending. But I'm sure it would have been a great experie...

I was hoping to still get into Booth or Kellogg up until UCLA called me in. UCLA was higher on my personal rankings especially for it's fit, location and program. AND they are cheap compared to the Chicago schools. So at this point if one of the Chicagos were to accept me, there would be no scholars...
