Vivek, I would suggest you to concentrate on the GMAT again may be also taking a course like KNEWTON might help to improve on the score. Have you tried testing on the manhattan gmat etc for the range you are hitting on test exams??? 500 score may not get you into any of the programs you are mentioni...

Thanks for your wisdom and confidence on being able to define the rules of a meaningful conversation. At that I am actually signing off from this topic.

(I guess some people are very self centered and look only from their own prizm)

@pemdas, my reference to FT is that Smeal's ranking as decent should be considered with a grain of salt. BTW it is not just academic to go to a school, it is to set up relationships with your cohort as well...i.e it is better to go to a school with a smarter bunch than of lesser stature that is dire...

I personally think FT rankings are not on par and ideal to judge your direction. Frankly speaking your MBA classmates(so called cohort) quality also matters wrt ROI calculation. You can not put monetary value to it but I would take 50-100k loan from Wharton as against Penn State full ride any day, e...

Since I have better chance of getting into Booth this year, but less likely hood of making it to Wharton(may be next year with higher GMAT), would you suggest to wait or take up Booth this year??

Changes from Knewton -- No more live sessions

For some reason they are dropping the live classes option, that means only option is adopting learning plus archived courses..don't know why.

You are probably from an over-subscribed category(ie Indian IT male with 10+ year exeperience with strong managerial streak)... that means you have to try to get to the high end of the range; that means 710+ score will be useful.

I would strongly suggest retake GMAT and reapply, if wharton is your only choice. There are other options for your experience like Booth, Kellogg and MIT Sloan EMBA. All three would be looking for progressive managerial experience though.
