The difference is between the word "presents" and "is". If choice B had said that the secondboldface "is" an assumption, then choice B would definitely be wrong. Because choice B says that the second boldface "presents" an assumption, choice B is perfect. (No...

Rahul, what the heck are the boldface portions? Also, the format in which you've posted the question makes it difficult to read. (Compare the way your question looks to the original question posted in this thread). Sorry for that, here you go : Although the earliest surviving Greek inscriptions wri...

Re:

1)
30^n > 1,000
=> n >=3 (since 30^1=30, 30^2=900, 30^3=27000 > 1000)

So 30^n will always have minimum 3 zeros
=> Hundreds digit is 0.
Sufficient.

2)
Same as above since n=3k
30^3k = (27000) ^k.
So minimum 3 zeros
=> Hundreds digit is 0.
Sufficient.

IMO B

The confusion here is the word 'each'.

If "each" were the subject of the clause, then the verb would be singular.

But in this case 'each' comes after the subjects so the subjects are still in plural form.
