I would like to ask a question. Does this kind of difficulty level passages worth attempting, as i seem to waste more time on these ones, rather than learn anything. does these types can be clubbed into - "move on " type of questions,- especially in verbal section, where you have less time...

Answer is definitely B for this
1) many numbers are possible
2) only no possible are 1238, 2138, 3128 etc
and all digits add to 14 always . Hence option B is correct

Guys I would advise to stay away from such confusing questions as they are not gmat representative. I also do not agree to Aneesh view, it is not worth to FORCE fully try to prove a wrong choice A correct by assuming a lot of things B looks better from any angle and hence is the most logical answer ...

In all strengthen questions, more or less, if we light upon the assumption made in the argument ( that is the gap between facts stated and the conclusion given ) then that assumption can help either strengthen or weaking the argument ...
