I would go with B. 2. Since S2 is easier, take that first. If y = x^2, then the original equation becomes X^16-x^16+345y^2/15 Or 345y^2/15 Since 15 goes into 345, the equation is divisible by 15. Sufficient 1. If one item divisible by 15 is added to or subtracted from another item divisible by 15, t...

If the OA is indeed C, can someone find the flaw is my reasoning below. T = G + E + S-(two of the three) + Neither 200 = G + E + 70-x+ Neither (or n) 130 = G + E-x + n S1. E = 60 130 = G + 60-x +n 70 = G-x + n…..Insuff. S2. N = 20 130 = G + E-x + 20 110 = G+E-x …..Insuff. 1+2 G-x = 70-n G-x = 11...

I’d go with B.
1.
(1-2x)(1+x)<0
2x^2+x>1
X(2x+1) > 1
X > 1 OR
(2x+1) > 1
X > 0 Insuff.
2.
(1-x) (1+2x) < 0
X(2x-1) > 1
X > 1 OR
(2x-1)> 1
x> 1.
In Either case, x is greater than 1. Which means |x|>1. Suff.

I wonder what you mean by that. B gives us the answer that "yes, xy < 6".p2dski wrote: So the answer is "NO" however, it doesn't matter. We have enough data to decide with 2.) so the answer is B.

I’ll take a shot at it. I’d go with C. Question is asking if m >-z 1. m > 3z This could be easily true if z were positive. However, if we imagine that z is -1, then, M > 3(-1) m>-3 but then the question is asking Is m > 1 which is not necessarily true. 2. 4z>m Just take z as 1. Just because m is...

Wow, great score. Congrats.
It only took you a month to score 770? I see that you are from Jersey so Verbal probably wasn't too difficult. But to score a 51 after month of study is still remarkable.
Do you have some type of background specializing in either English or Math?

GMAT hacks math bible
Hi, I have a general question. Has anyone on this forum used the Total GMAT Math ( a.k.a. GMAT hacks math bible) and scored above a 700 because of it? I am looking to make the jump from 660 to 700+ and quant has always been my biggest problem. But I have read very few posts on this forum discusing t...

Who is this friend and why are you putting so much stock in what she is telling you?
The claim that GMAT in August is easier than in other months is one of the most ridicilous claims I have ever heard.

Actually you might be correct. I never plugged -1 into the second equation. I would have gotten 2 as well.
OA please.
