Anyone in Korea who scored 700+?

Hi, I'm a GMAT instructor who's currently teaching in Seoul.

I'm looking for someone who's scored 700+ and who currently stays in Korea.

This is not a job posting, but I have many ideas about the GMAT.

Please contact me at [email protected] or 010-6343-8963

Neanderthals

I understand that to refer to a singular, you can't use 'those'... but my question here is why is vocal tract singular in the first place? Why is it not plural as follows: Neanderthals had vocal tracts.... by having plural 'vocal tracts', we are decribing the inherent nature of the vocal tracts (of...

the sloth/sloths

I understand the answer should be singular, "the sloth" because of "its." But, why is it "the sloth" as opposed to "sloths"? Obviously, the author of this sentence doesn't refer to a partucular sloth; he refers to sloths in general. Then, doesn't it have to be...

write-down

I'm not sure if this is a proper question to post on this board, but I couldn't find a better place for this. In the following sentence, what exactly does the action described by the expression, "writing down claims" mean? "In one breath Mr. Obama praises a bank that wrote down its cl...

Re: Relative noun: that and which

Yes, you can use which and that both here....but using that is possible only when..there are multiple bank with which author had held the account for over 20 years... which I don't think is what author meant to say....if there = only one bank, then that cannot be used...we can have only which.... i...

Re: Relative noun: that and which

No. As per my understanding you cannot use the same....remember that is a restrictive pronoun.... Remember this way: when talking about 1 out of n members out of a set of similar things use "that"...( we are restricting = restrictive) when talking about 1 out of 1 member of a set use whic...

Re: Relative noun: that and which

that is a restrictive relative pronoun = so it is incorrect to use that here. Since you are talking about only one bank with which you held account for last 20 years. Thanks a lot, goelmohit. Now, I think I understand the difference b/w 'that' and 'which.' But then, in this problem, wouldn't it be ...

Relative noun: that and which

Hi, I got this problem from the Powerscore SC bible. (Q.4 from p.121) I had no problem getting the correct answer, but there's something I don't get that's in the answer key. The answer key says, the relative pronoun, 'that' could be used if the proposition, 'with' was removed. Then, would it look l...

Postal Service

Hi, guys, I'm having a problem with this CR problem. I don't see how the answer choice, (C) weakens the argument. The correct answer is said to be (E). (This is from CR 1000) The choice (C) mentions private services, which I thought would be out of scope. How are private services related to the argu...

I think C weakens the conclusion more than B. For instance, the use of many and some. Also as mentioned in one of the comments above, there is no guarantee that 'some' firms will pay more and not violate the law. Can we have the source of the question please. The Powerscore LSAT LR Bible says, &quo...

The answer choice, (B) states that some firms have been paying significantly less than KD5.00, which is clearly in violation of the current Kirklandic minimum wage law. So, how could it be guaranteed that those companies won't violate the minimum wage law by still paying less than KD5.50, which woul...

Minimum Wage in Kirklandia

In two months, the legal minimum wage in the country of Kirlandia will increase from five Kirlandic dollars(KD5.00) Per hour to KD5.50 per hour. Opponents of this increase have argued that the resulting rise in wages will drive the inflation rate up. In fact its impact on wages will probably be negl...

Animal-induced allergies - Strengthen Problem

People who have spent a lot of time in contact with animals often develop animal-induced allergies, some of them quite serious. In a survey of current employees in major zoos, about 30 percent had animal-induced allergies. Based on this sample, experts conclude that among members of the general popu...
