It makes sense when someone else does it. I just don't know where to start with these questions though. For example, in the 2nd question, how do you know that you're not suppose to factor the the 2^13? what I mean is, at the start how do you know what to factor?

GMAT Prep Test Accuracy
Hello everyone,
My test is this Saturday so I took my final GMAt prep test yesterday and scored a 640, which is ok since all I need is a 600. However, someone told me that the real gmat is much tougher and you can expect a much lower score. Is this true?

Thanks for your help Math Guru(I wish I was a Math guru). I have studied from the 10th edition and the Princeton review. My real problem lies in properties of numbers, a topic not really covered in either book. All I need is a 600 on the GMAT, something that I have been getting on the gmat prep test...

OG 10 Math VS OG 11 Math
Hello, Does anyone know if there is a substantial difference in the math difficulty between the 10th and 11th edition? The reason I ask is the math problems in the GMAt prep seemed much more diificult than the 10th edition. Someone told me this may be beacuse I have been studying with the 10th editi...

Somone mentioned that the overlap is 20% between 10th and 11th and that the verbal and quant is identical to the 10th

Stuff like percentages/ratios/etc can be relevant to business/business schools. In fact, I'm glad they're tested on the GMAt because it gave me the opportunity to brush up on these topics. I was talking more about prime factorization/geometry...stuff like that. However, as Rajesh mentioned, it may b...

Thanks for the reply. There is a grid(that I found on this website) that classifies questions as easy, medium, and hard for the 10th edition. The questions that I have no clue about are the hard number property ones. To give you an example from the 10th edition, Which of the following is the least po...

Hard Math Questions
Hello, I'm studying from the OG 10th edition. I am having a tough time on the hard math questions(mostly on the number properties ones). I need a 600-620 on the test. Are these types of questions in the 700+ level or not? Should I postpone the test(date set right now is April 28th) to get a better g...

Helps a great deal. I read the 75% stat in one of the other threads entitled "Are these books enough" or something like that. Someone named Stacey mentioned that stat.

Thanks for your help. I just read that there is a 75% overlap between the 10th and 11th, so the 10th should be sufficient. Can I ask you one more question? Are the Official gmat verbal and quantitative review books useful or are they just questions taken out the official guide? For example, would the...

I've been studying since Jan 14th and my test is on April 11th.
I phrased my question incorrectly. I just meant to ask whether studying with the 11th edition is substantially better than studying with the 10th.
Thanks for your quick reply.

I know you guys said that the 10th edition is still a good book to use, I was just wondering now whether studying with the 11th edition can substantially increase your score. I don't want to miss my target just because I was studying with an older edition. Do you guys think that using the 10th editi...
