Carnegie Mellon Tepper School of Business
Hi, Yesterday I have taken an e-mail from Tepper inviting me to apply to their program with a waived application fee. As I had mentioned in another post of mine, I scored 740 in GMAT. My GPA is 2.83 (Think of it like 3.20 or 3.30 in a USA university, you guys really have inflated grades :) ) I have ...

(50 q, 40v, 5awa). Now, I have a scholarship from Turkish Petroleum Corporation to have an MBA with Marketing maj...

x is the sum of an even number of consecutive numbers. (since y = 2z) so x must be odd. (for example 1+2=3 2+3=5.......) and y must be even. so x/y cannot be an integer. edit: sorry, x can be even. (1+2+3+4=10 for example) however i still think the answer is c. because x/y gives the number just in t...

just say alpha to one of the angels near 90 and you'll see the other is 90-alpha.
draw vertical lines to x axis from point p and q. you'll see there are 2 right triangels with angels alpha and 90-alpha and with the same-length hypotenuse equal to the radius.
after that it is too easy.

dog >>5 leaps of 5x
cat>>4 leaps of 6x
(5*5) / (4*6)
note: there is reverse correlation in the equality of leaps.

I believe that "lets say" method is easier than number picking. now let's say there is 100 km. of total distance. than we go x km. with 40km/hour and 100-x km. with 60km/hour average speed is: total distance/total time so: 100/[x/40+(100-x)/60] would be the answer. with a quick calculation...

lets say the work is 20x (hourxrate)
so r,s and t together do a 5x job in 1 hour. (20/4)
s and t together do a 4x job together in 1 hour. (20/5)
therefore:
r does x jobin 1 hour.
there is 20x job.
the answer is 20.
never get lost in calculations. logic is always with you:)

add 5 to 11 = 16
2+3=5
3+7=10
80 is the least possible multiple for 16, 5 and 10.
so the weights of gold are: 32/80 and 24/80
and the last weight is 25/80 ----->(5/(5+11))
24 25 .........32
25-24=1
32-25=7
so the ratio must be 7/1 =7
and according to this ratio the solution is 1.
