Another way of looking at this problem is if you plug in a number for the value of work. (In some previous posts, users have used the number of pizzas..etc) So lets say that the value of work is 36 units. (The trick to using this method is to use a number that will be evenly divisible by both times....

Sophia, maybe this tidbit will help clarify Cramya's explanation because I read the question incorrectly when I first looked at it:

I think the trick to this problem is that when you are calculating the probability of the first choice, say it is an SUV, per the condition - the second choice can not be an SUV so you have to subtract the remaining SUVs from the total number of vehicles. So for example: Probability: Andre chooses a...

First try to find ALL the combinations a 6 letter sequence. Which is equal to: 6 * 5 *4 * 3 * 2 * 1 or 6!. Then we can try to eliminate duplicates in the sequence. If we break the sequence of letters as follows: 1 2 3 4 5 6 A B1 B2 C1 C2 C3 We can see that there are cases where there will be duplica...

I substituted numbers for x, y and t that would help pinpoint the correct answer choice. The numbers I chose were: X = 10 (Jogged 10 miles per hour) Y = 5 (Walked back at 5 miles per hour) T = 3 (Total time spent jogging and walking. 1 jogging/2 walking back) The distance Aaron jogged from his house...

I agree with C. If the current used tape's adhesiveness is more than sufficient to hold wounds closed for ten days, then the claim that "Newtape will improve healing because Newtape adheres twice as long as the currently used tape does" will be weakened, since it wouldn't matter how much l...
