I’ve significantly improved my timing issue just by following the priceless advices I found in this website (from Jim, Ian, Ron and others). Recently I found this time-strategy originally suggested by mgross (760) that is helping me budget time and keep up with proper pacing during my prep/mock test...

congrats! I don’t really think age is relevant as long as you have a good overall fit for a mba. There are tons of 24-years-old applicants out there with 700+ gmat but with limited or none working experience that miss a top b-school for more experienced and older applicants. I heard Harvard gives pr...

80-90?!? that is all?!? wow,. I always thought it would contain nothing less then 200 or so. How come people say they do and re-do the test 4-5 times? I heard that if you uninstall and then install it again you get additional questions, but I am now assuming this isn’t true. Thank you for your answer.

How big is the GMATprep database?

How big is the database of GMATprep? More specifically, how many QUANTITATIVE questions does GMATprep provide? 200? 300?1,000?

Also, does it provide explanation for 100% of the exercises? Is it decent explanation or superficial?

gotinstyle, Could you comment further on your strategy when doing GMATprep. How did you use GMATprep? Did you time yourself really simulating the real GMAT or just go thru the questions linearly? You mentioned you used “print screen”, thus I assume you just went thru linearly (i.e. not as a mock tes...

I wanted to bring this discussion back, not because the question about calculator (we know this is not allowed during gmat), but for the fact that simple problems like this one here stated by markd4863 can get people terrible in math (like me) in serious trouble. The method Stacey describes below is...

All GMATprep questions explained in a single document.

Not sure if I am asking too much, but is there any compilation/document bringing all problems of GMATprep, PowerGMAT and paper-based-GMAT duly solved? I know I could search thru this forum, but just wondering if there is something handy.

scratch paper: during mock tests in from of the computer I would use something similar to the official gmat, instead of regular paper and pen. Just so you get used to it..

Solve OG is one thing. Solve OG under time constraint is another thing, totally different. You will be amazed on how low your score can drop when time is against you. Also, go thru the last 20 questions and then re-do it two weeks later….The impression you get when re-doing for the second time is th...

GG04, What concerns me is that I am still struggling with pacing. On Q, I was able to improve after training hard, but after a couple of weeks of training it seems the best I can do is 31-33 questions having to guess the remaining 4-6 questions. What strategy would you recommend regarding timing/pac...

Congrats! Question: I am actually focusing my prep exclusively on OG11 and OG11-review and planning to go thru GMATprep as a mock test (several times). Could you briefly compare what you seen in the Q section during your official exam vs the Q section in the OG11? It would be of big help for me. Tha...
