I'm in agreement with aim-wsc here. That said, I think the Math section on Kaplan Online CATs (not the one on CDs) is actually very trivial. On 3 of those tests I scored 54 once, and 51 twice and all 3 times I was in 99 percentile. Additionally, I completed the math section with time on hand. Compar...

I just received my AWA score. Got a 5.5 I had neither studied for AWA nor written a single essay before the actual Exam. Considering that I think I did well. My past blogging experience did help me quite a bit. However, I think not writing essays during practice test was a mistake on my part. Going ...

I didn't beat it. Atrocious score. 600 (Q: 47, V: 26)
I was dismayed when I saw a 600 on the screen after completing the exam. I was hoping for atleast a 650 because I knew I'd done pathetic on verbal. For some reason my timing was completely off in verbal as I had to guess last 12 questions in verbal which had not happened to me till date throughout a...

I found princeton CATs to be way too easy. I took the princeton CAT when I was beginning my preparations, and scored 47 on quant. It was way too easy. I think all I'm going to do in next 2 days is practice verbal and quant from supplemental guides and give another shot at GMATPrep 2. I don't think I...

In last 2 days I gave two tests: Kaplan Online CAT 3 and Gmat Prep 2 (try 1). Here are my scores and some observations: Kaplan Online CAT 3. Score 680 (M: 51, 99 percentile. V: 30, 60 percentile) I found the math to be very easy. Have any of you felt the same about math sections of Kaplan online CAT...

gmat in 10 days, recent practice test scores
My GMAT is 10 days from now and here are a couple of recent practice test scores. GmatPrep 1: 710 (Q: 50, V: 36) Manhattan Gmat CAT 1: 670 (Q: 45, 77 percentile, V: 36, 81 percentile. Overall: 89 percentile) I must say that Manhattan GMAT Quant section was way tougher than GmatPrep. I used it mainly...

It does seem like there is a significant overlap between OG 10 and the supplemental guides. http://www.beatthegmat.com/i-have-og10-do-i-need-og11-t636-15.html Though one of the advantages of supplemental guides is that they have better explanations of the solutions. Not sure if that merits purchasin...

I feel that 40 days should be enough if all you are doing is studying for GMAT. Be sure to make a timetable and put in a concerted effort into prepping. During initial days you might not be able to focus a whole lot (I'm basing this on my personal experience), but keep going and soon you will pick u...

I've read reviews on the internet saying that a majority of questions in OG supplemental guides have been taken from OG 10. How true is that??

last 15 days strategy advice
I've been studying for GMAT since close to almost 2 months now. My test date is about 15 days from now. I think I have done a lot of reviewing of Prep material for both Quant and Verbal (OG 11, Kaplan Online course, Kaplan 800, Princeton books, GMAT Math bible, Powerscore CR bible). I have completel...

For Critical Reasoning I think PowerScore GMAT CR Bible is the best. I always thought critical reasoning was my strong point (based on a couple of diagnostic tests I gave). But I was in for a shock when I started solving the OG 11 questions. I got almost 10 incorrect in the first 40 itself. I realiz...

My first full GMAT test was the Kaplan Diagnostic that I gave around a month and a half ago when I was just about to begin my GMAT preparations. At that point I scored 550 on the test. Quite contrary to what I had expected I did well on Verbal(I had never done any critical reasoning or sentence corr...
