Stacey, all other things being equal, does being an underrepresented minority (hispanic male) actually provide an advantage when applying to top schools? I realize there is the argument that it helps with the class diversity etc, but in your experience, have you seen it actually play a role in gain...

Leadership vs. Area of Concentration
Hi Stacy,
I was wondering which would be looked as more favorable work experience:
a managerial/supervisory position at current industry (which I will not be pursuing further)
OR
an analyst position at industry of choice post MBA

It's a lot easier to get a 6.0 AWA than a 40V. Let your essays speak for your writing abilities. I hear that business schools don't even care for the AWA unless it is below a 4.0

I suggest a Calculus course. Taking 1-2 extra courses at the best school possible, and doing well, plus a 700 would be great.
