Hi All, Carolinahbrah is quite proud of her V48 (as she should be; that's a fantastic performance in the Verbal section) - the approach that she took to her studies is not common though (you can read about it here: http://www.beatthegmat.com/feel-free-to-ask-v48-anything-t284540.html#750573). By he...

Hi Varun, Is there a reason why you scheduled your Official GMAT at NIGHT (as opposed to scheduling it earlier)? I ask because most Test Takers perform better earlier in the day, so you might be making this whole process more difficult by Testing at night. The extra information that you've given is...

If you think the issue is solely focus (which I doubt), you could try adderall. If the issue is that you're not a native English speaker, that's a much more difficult problem. You would have to take a much more long-term approach toward improving your ability to understand English. You would have to...

CGPA is calculated out of 10. so I got 8.08 out of 10.
Does that mean B- then? Not trying to give you a hard time; just still wondering what the equivalency is.

No offense, but it sounds like you don't have a very good grasp on English. Did you pass the TOEFL? If your verbal score is that low, maybe it would be best to take language classes in English.

Hello Everyone! Would like to have my profile evaluated as well, so that I could focus on what to correct and what to retain. I'm aiming for ISB EEO. 10th - ICSE - 92.8% 12th - ISC - 83% Grad - CGPA - 8.08 (B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar)...

Getting a 760 cold must be a 1 in 10,000 event. Your score is higher than the average at any school. I don't think any should could or would haves matter for you. I hope you get how unusual what you did is. Or maybe not doing practice tests helped me. It placed an unreasonable expectation on me tha...

Yeah, it was. I wonder if I could have done better if I had done practice tests.

99th percentile – beat the GMAT

I scored 760 [Q47, V48, IR8] after a month and a half of fairly light study. It was my first time writing. I did all of the practice problems in the quantitative and sentence correction sections of the Official GMAT Guide. I did not write one practice exam, and I only practiced a handful of reading ...

Feel free to ask V48 anything!

I just wrote the GMAT today. I got Q47, V48, and 760 total for 99th percentile. I never wrote any practice tests, and I did no reading comprehension or reasoning prep. I did, however, answer all 140 grammar questions in the Official GMAT Guide, and I read GMAT Sentence Correction Bible through. Feel...
