7 days away from my first official GMAT! I scored a 650 on GMAT Prep Exam 1. I opted to save GMAT Prep Exam 2, 3, and 4 for practice before my second GMAT in January. Doing a blind review of the questions I missed, I could've picked up 10 in Quant and 7 in Verbal. I missed a lot of DS questions beca...

I have hit a plateau and I need to shake things up. I am still struggling with DS and CR and I need to change directions. I have also accepted that my GMAT in 30 days will probably not be my final attempt. I am still going to take it. I enrolled in EMPOWERgmat last night and I'm going to be watching...

Update: I am currently 43 days away from my GMAT. I got a great tutor who has been really helping out my quant game. I feel like I am really improving and understanding the concepts much better, but it's not quite translating to practice tests just yet. Today I took my 3rd practice test (MGMAT #2) a...

Update to my previous post. Today I took my second practice test (MGMAT #1) and scored Q35/V34 = 580 Thoughts - My timing is way off, still need to work on this - I felt a lot more comfortable on Quant. I still did a ton of random guessing on problems I haven't yet covered i.e. geometry, probability...

Rich, My scores progressed from 155 up to 170 on my final practice exam. Those we over a year ago so they don't have much merit right now but it definitely helped my CR and RC. I believe that my package will be competitive at those schools - as long as I can perform well on the GMAT. I am working wi...

Thanks for the tips Rich! You're spot on with my timing. 1) Did you end up taking the Official LSAT? Never took the official exam but I took 8 of the last 10 LSATs and I was scoring in the 155-170 range. 2) What is your score goal for the GMAT? 700+ 3) When are you planning to apply to Business Scho...

Well... I am feeling down but not out. Q22/V32 = 470 - Veritas Prep Exam #1 Thoughts: Quant -Did a lot of guessing -Felt very lost on geometry, probability, and most of the DS questions -In my review, I easily could've gotten 10 more right without stupid errors Thoughts: Verbal -91% correct on CR -D...

David,
Does the Veritas Prep free practice test come with an AWA and IR section? I may use your test as my diagnostic and save the GMAT prep tests for later.

Great! Thanks for the help. I am going to take the GMAT Prep Exam #1 either tomorrow or Thursday morning.
Another questions:
Should I do the AWA and IR sections for my first diagnostic exam? I know that test fatigue is crucial when taking practice exams but is it beneficial for this one?
