Difficult Functions Problem
Hello All,
I'm struggling on this problem :
If n is an integer and f(n) = f(n – 1) – n, what is the value of f (4)?
(1) f(3) = 14
(2) f(6) = -1
FYI, answer is D. Please advise..thanks!

Should I take a course now or later?
I've been studying for the GMAT since July but am seeing few results. I definitely feel that I'm lacking discipline - probably b/c I don't have a lot of structure in my prep. It also doesn't help that I've been busy with weddings, moving to a new apartment, etc. I'm thinking about beginning a course...

Thanks everyone for your explanations. My biggest problem is with the arithmetic (1/4 ^ 1.5a). So if I take (1^1.5a)(4^-1.5a), how do I get to the next step?
