Oh yeah, you're right Rich. I just thought of x=3, y=2 then it becomes 3(3)= odd. Thanks for the pointer!

Please help out on this
If x and y are integers, is x (y+1) an even number? 1). x, and y are prime numbers. 2). y>7 I am struggling to understand why statement 1 ALONE is not sufficient- according to answer choices I am looking at. Here is my approach: x=2, y=2, then 2(3)= 6 = Even x=2, y=3, then 2(4)=8 = Even x=11, y=13, ...

Hi manyaabroadtpr
Many thanks for the wishes but I've decided to reschedule the test to mid Feb to give myself time to work on CR and RC.
Thanks again and happy new year!
Best wishes!

Thanks Rich, I've rescheduled once and got my test in two weeks - 12/31. With two weeks to go, my Quant proficiency level has increased to 88% and SC is well above 85%. CR and RC are my biggest let down. Most of my efforts this week will go towards these sections then at end of this week I will atte...

Is this a correct way of this problem?
If a, b, and c are integers, what's the value of a? 1. (a-7)(b-7)(c-7)=0 2. bc=18 None of the statements is sufficient on it's own so here is how I am solving it after realizing it can't be solved algebraically. From statement 2, I let b=2 and c=9. (taking negative numbers will yield the same result...

Thanks Brent & Rich, Yesterday (Monday here in the US) was a fruitful day for me. I spent sometime revising the Quant portion of the GMAT prep test I did and realized that one of the key mistakes I made was not paying attention to the questions closely. There are a couple of Quant probs I missed...

Hi manyaabroadtpr: Thanks for the tips. They are absolutely helpful. Here is what I have decided to do - spend the first week brushing up on my verbal skills. I plan to tacked the verbal questions from OG and Verbal Guide as I go through the skills. Spend second week brushing up on my Quant skills -...

Hi Rich, Thank you very much for your response. I appreciate. You're right that I'm targeting R2. I actually got everything else done - all essays are done and my recommenders have already submitted their letters. I kinda started the process the other round - I was able to do essays in between the o...

Can I move from 530 to 700+ in 3 weeks?
Hey guys, Just joined this forum. I have a test coming on 12/31/2014 and I am wondering whether there is a good strategy I can use to improve to at least 700. I just did the diagnostic test (with a lot of distractions in the house) and managed only 530. I am off from work the whole of this month so ...
