Inequality questions in DS

Hi guys: I constantly get inequality questions in DS wrong. Particularly the ones which ask whether one side is greater or lesser than the other. Eg: Is x < y (a) 2x < 3y (b) xy > 0 Is 1/(a-b) < b-a (a) a < b (b) 1 < |a-b| I try to approach them algebraically and do not get conclusive answers and by...

Hi ri2007, Your option 1 is the same as the option 2. When we have a modulus on a side that means it can have two values +/-.
