I'm getting A
Heres wat I did:
a^2 = b^2
=> a = +/-b
From stmt 1)
ab=0
=> a=0 or b=0...
=> So irrespective of the sign of b, a = b = 0...SUFFICIENT
Please tell me where I'm going wrong...

Sum of squares of 1st n consecutive natural nos = n(n+1)(2n+1) / 6
Sum of cubes of the 1st n consecutive natural nos. = [n(n+1)/2]^2

@ pepeprepa Why did u take pi*(r + s)??? It shud be pi*(r-s) The area of the shaded portion is Area of the entire circle - Area of the white portion Now radius of the white portion = r-s & not r+s So area of the shaded portion is pi*r^2 - pi*(r-s)^ U'll get the ans as E Hope u understood ur mist...

@ 4meonly... I guess ur assumption x=3*9^4 does not satisfy the 2nd condition Now x^x = y^2 => y = x^(x/2) => (3*9^4) ^ [(3*9^4)/2] => Now 3*9^4 / 2 is not an integer Hence Integer ^ Non-integer does not = Integer...so (3*9^4) ^ [(3*9^4)/2] is not an integer... Hence this does not satisfy the 2nd co...

Confused yet again!!!
Hi... Why don't v take 8P4 here as the arrangement is important here? Also, on the other hand, if we take 8C4...i.e. v r selecting 4 DISTINCT balls from 8 balls...we do not need to re-arrange the balls in ascending as they r in ascending order...Ok got this but still the arrangement is important rig...

Hi... I also got 7...which is the average of the no. of marbles.. But i do not think its the right answer... @ chase... I guess we need the find the least no. of marbles 'exchanged'... I just substituted the values as 0 , 5 , 9 & 14... So all the boys to have 7 marbles... we need to exchange 7+2...
