Official Question Doubt
Hi, In the attached problem, why can't we assume if 1 is a number in the set, then x-3 = 1; x = 4? Hence the set can be {4, 1, -2, -5, -8...}. Shouldn't there be an option with I and III. I know, assuming x=1 is the first thing anyone would do. But the former assumption confused me. Answer Options: a...

MGMAT CAT1
Hi Experts, I eliminated the second statement due to the following reason: The second-to-last term is 3^10. So, the last one should be 3^11. But the catch is that, the target question does not provide any information about the elements of the sequence being -ve, +ve, integer of fraction. So, we fail...

Nice Work here! I enjoyed reading this essay. I thought that the reasoning was good and I only caught a couple of grammar errors, (you can spot these if you just paste your essay into a Microsoft word document). I would rate this as a 5.0 or above. Certainly this is in the top half of essays and po...

RC Time Allotment
Hi Experts, What my interpretation from the books and forums is that a test taker should allot (rather, allowed to do so ) approx 2.5 minutes to read the RC passage (Create passage map etc.). He/She can start answering the individual questions, taking 1.5 minutes per question. In contrast to my assu...

Matt beats Larry/Steve
In order to make the national tennis team, Matt has to play a three-game series against Larry and Steve, and in doing so win two games in a row. He's given a choice, however: he can choose the order in which he plays against his opponents but cannot play the same opponent in consecutive games (so he...
