Hi Bhavik,

I sent you a personal message, but it looks like it is stuck in my "outbox". I am not sure if that means it was sent. Anyway, if you don't get it please let me know and I will try to send through again.

Easy vs. Difficult Majors

I think it's well documented that astrophysics is deemed a "hard" major and basket weaving is "easy" when it comes to evaluating your undergrad GPA, major and school, but where do the business undergrad degrees come in? Particularly finance degrees? Any thoughts would be greatly ...

Here is my two cents on RC passages. Don't aim for the 2 minute target on each question. Spend an extra few minutes reading and really comprehending what the passage is about. If you do that you, should have no problem answer the 3 or 4 associated questions in 30-45 seconds. I scored a 40 on the ver...

Abhi131 - Are you sure V35 and Q45 was a 710? I have a friend that took the test last week and with the same verbal/quant breakdown scored a 660? If you scored a 710 with the same score I will let them know that there could potentially be a mistake?

I will address both your questions in the same reply. First off I should say I am a native English speaker so the verbal section wasn't half the battle quant was. My first time taking the GMAT I scored 38 in verbal and only increased that to 40. I also did not do any work with my private tutor on ve...

HIM_43, This is against the honor code we all sign when taking the GMAT. There were some high profile news stories about cheating in China where students where sharing current GMAT questions and they had their scores canceled with some even getting kicked out of bschool. I would advise against askin...

From a pure learning the content perspective - yes I could have gotten there without the tutor because I was there before getting laid off. From a mental preparation and forceing myself to study and show up to each tutoring session prepared - no I wouldn't have been able to do it. Not saying a priva...

Raised my official score from a 590 to 720

I have been a frequent visitor to these posts since last October and never thought that day would come when I would be able to post myself. However, today is that day. I took the GMAT this morning and scored a 720(v40, q49). It has been an extremely long road and my advice to anyone is don't give up...
