The intent of the author is to say that the art is not typical of amateur art. The way E is written it is saying that it the cupid's arrow appears and that the amateur art does not appear. Meaning of the word appears is not the author's intent in E

seem to appear and appear are same so a and are wordy a and b are gone. E is saying that the cupid's arrow actually appears likes comes out of somewhere and that the amateur art doesn't appear

No statement 2 is not sufficient. While 8 shirts and 12 sweaters works so does 13 shirts and 9 sweaters. You can find many values for shirts that leaves a multiple of 25 for sweaters and if you look at those number half sell more sweaters half sell more shirts so 2 is inconclusive. answer is A

In my opinion not really. You just need very good grades if you don't come from a top school. Actually it may be better getting top of your class in a lower tier school than very below average from an upper tier school. I may be wrong.
