I think, because of the even exponent, there are two roots, not one I did this question by taking x^2=X therefore the equation will be x^2-2x+1 to find the roots - X^2-1x-1x+1=0 therefore the roots will be x(x-1)-1(x-1) we get x^2=1 and x^2=1 aren't we getting one root as the answer ? what topics are tested in ds?
I've heard that some areas are tested more commonly than others in data sufficiency. Things like "Number Properties." Is this true? If it is, does anyone know why? Thanks!

I'm just beginning my GMATPrep. I'm going to use a course or tutor, but I want to brush up on my fundamentals before I get there. Any words of advice on the best way to study? I'd really appreciate it, since I have NO idea where to begin.
