That's a great story. Congrats! This article is not for those who got 700+ with 7 years w/e running a multibillion dollar hedgefund or saving lives by discovering the cure for cancer down in Africa while building libraries and schools. No, this article is for those who have spent hundreds of hours s...

The Basics: Timeframe: 3 months (late May to late August) Books/Programs Use...

I think, because of the even exponent, there are two roots, not one I did this question by taking x^2=X therefore the equation will be x^2-2x+1 to find the roots - X^2-1x-1x+1=0 therefore the roots will be x(x-1)-1(x-1) we get x^2=1 and x^2=1 aren't we getting one root as the answer ? What am I doin...

That makes sense! Thank you! If x is not equal to 0, is |x| less than 1? (1) x/|x|< x (2) |x| > x Question rephrased: Is x between -1 and 1? Statement 1: x/|x| < x x < x|x| 0 < x|x| - x 0 < x (|x| - 1) The CRITICAL POINTS are -1, 0 and 1. These are the only values where x(|x|-1) = 0. To determine th...

what topics are tested in ds?

I've heard that some areas are tested more commonly than others in data sufficiency. Things like "Number Properties." Is this true? If it is, does anyone know why? Thanks!

nyc gmat tutor?

Hi there,

I live in NYC and was wondering if anyone has suggestions about private tutors in Manhattan? I'm looking for someone independent, not with a company, since I'd like to save money. Thanks for the feedback.

Best advice?

I'm just beginning my GMATPrep. I'm going to use a course or tutor, but I want to brush up on my fundamentals before I get there. Any words of advice on the best way to study? I'd really appreciate it, since I have NO idea where to begin.
