Statement 1 alone is not sufficient statement 2 says that there is 6 numbers in S, without any other indication. Statement 2 alone is not suffici...

n1 = half of riders with average weight of 180 pounds n2 = half of riders with average weight of 215 pounds n = greatest numbers of riders who can ride safely n1 = n2 n1 + n2 = n = 2n1 = 2n2 2000 = 180n1 + 215n2 = 395n1 = 395n/2 then n = 4000/395 > 4000/400 => n is just over 10, which is the nearest...

i would say answer E h(n)=2^n * n! h(100)=2^50 * 50! h(100) is divisible by any numer between 2 and 50, the prime factor being 2 h(100)+1 would leave a reaminder of 1 if divided by numbers ranging from 2 to 50 so I would expect that the smallest prime factor would be at least > or = to 51, so largel...

I believe the answer is E (i.e.100) total committees = 4C1*6C2 + 4C2*6C1 + 4C3*6C0 total committees = 4*15 + 6*6 + 4*1 total committees = 100 Hi, Could someone explain to me the progression of this in better detail. i.e. how does 4C1*6C2 = 4*15 thanks nCp is the writing convention some people use o...

Thank you for replying. The answer is indeed 525. But i am still getting 2100 as the answer. Below is my working, hopefully you will be able spot the mistake. x be the total number of students therefore, 45% of x = total number of girls (G) 55% of x = total number of boys (B) students traveled abro...

I would say Q1 : answer E Q2 : answer E Q3 : answer D Q1 removing 80 books coming from the same science implies that it concerns exclusively either physics or chemistry. you can remove 50 + 50 +65 + 79 + 79 = 323 books without having 80 books of physics or chemistry you then need one more book to be...

the answer is D, i.e. 525
Your answer is 4 times bigger. I believe that you got rid of the % somewhere in the process, taking numerical values of 25 and 75 instead of 1/4 and 3/4.

Re: Thanks for the solution but I still have a question....
Re. question 1 well there has been a mistake when submitting my post, I should have disabled HTML, BBCOde and Smilies, it then works better. Anyway I meant: xP being the position of point P on the X axis; xR being the position of point R on the X axis; yP being the position of point P on the Y axis;...

the Numbers Theory states that if n is a positive integer and p a prime number then the exponent e of p in the breakdown of n! in prime factors is e = [n/p] + [n/p]^2 + [n/p]^3 + [n/p]^4 + ... (square brackets meaning that you just keep the integer part of the number) let me explain with our exemple...

with my own eyes, I would say that answer is A algebraically, well... statement 1 says that x > y but still <90° the shape of the sinus curve under such conditions shows that sin(x) > sin(y) we also know that sin=opposed side/hypotenuse (for a rectangular triangle at least) i.e. opposed side = sinus...

I would say that answer is A statement 1 states that q=-s thus q <0>0. it means that 0 is included into the (q;s) distance and is located strictly in the middle. r being also inside (q;s), r is closest to 0 because distance (r;0) or (0;r) is smaller than (-s;0) or (0;s). statement 2 does not provide...
