Hi, I took the GMAT three times. The first two ended up with exactly the same score 660. I did something different to prepare for my third attempt and shared it in the following post. For
I just recalled one GMAT expert saying that you need not only to be able to tell why a correct answer is correct, but also to be able to understand why wrong answers are wrong. For instance, when you are faced with an SC question, you might get a hunch on one answer choice as the correct one. Before...

@Ronald: Thanks a lot for your note. I think you are spot on with your assessment. I didn't even touch OG in the last 4 months and indeed my Verbal scores in GMATPrep were lower than what I used to score in Kaplan. A difference of good 4-5 points. I'll go back to OG now. Congratulations for your sc...

Did your verbal score in the GMATPrep end up lower than that in the Kaplan tests? Here is my story ... When I first took the GMAT, I did use Kaplan private class session t...

While the credibility of the poll was briefly addressed in the third paragraph, it should have deserved one separate paragraph as it is one crucial point. The credibility of the poll matters not only because we are not told how well the respondents represent the whole population, but also primarily ...

A sneaky way to evaluate statement 2: The two statements cannot directly contradict each other. Since statement 1 states that 2xy < 100, it must at least be possible that 2xy < 100 in statement 2. Statement 2: (x+y)^2 > 200 x^2 + 2xy + y^2 > 200. x^2 + y^2 > 200 - 2xy x^2 + y^2 > 200 - (less than 1...

This question is taken from Veritas free test. According to Veritas, the OA is C.
I personally believe that the answer is B. Therefore, I'd be very happy if someone from Veritas can clarify.
