Rewriting in form of power of 10
(15 x 10^m-4)/(3 x 10^k-2) = 5 x 10^7
5 x 10^m-4-k+2 = 5 x 10^7
Equating powers of 10,
m-4-k+2 = 7
m-k-2 = 7
m-k = 9

Ans A

Here's how I solved it, Distance = 480m 1st heat - A runs 480m whereas B runs only 432m because of the 48m headstart, SpeedA = 480/ta1; SpeedB = 432/tb1 Here ta1 = tb1 - 6 (since A beats B by 1/10th of a min = 6secs) 2nd heat - A runs 480m whereas B runs only 336m because of the 144m headstart, Spee...

I'm going with E. Here's my reasoning, The star (most productive) employees never had any work to do on Fridays in the first place. They were able to get all of their work done in the 4 days. This is not the case for other employees. By keeping them away from work on Friday the president is actually...

The answer will have to be C
Only it provides a co-relation between the price of Wood pulp and the demand in Japan and W.Europe.

I arrive at D after using POE. Its possible that the only remaining buildings from pre-1930s are the buildings that were continued to be used and not demolished. In other words, there could have been many more other buildings, built before 1930s, that had shoddy carpentry work and were hence demolis...

IMO D
Charitable institutions would have to reduce services or close only if their sole benefactors are Wealthy individuals
This is what the argument assumes.

What if there were corporates that made donations and were not affected by this proposed law? Then the argument would not hold.

IMO E The argument is, out of the total number of ppl switching states, the proportion going to SunState has decreased by 10% But if the total number of ppl itself has increased overall, assuming the same proportion (with the 10% decrease) going to SunState, the actual number of ppl going to SunStat...

IMO C (A) But yet there was a cost reduction though not upto expectation. Does not weaken (B) Out of scope (C) Shows that 15% cost reduction could be achieved without the new process. And therefor new process does not contribute to cost reduction. Weakens the argument (D) Product attributes Out of s...

But we should weaken the claim that the government’s plan is obviously working. So if Many Levaskans who already had long-term savings have steadily been transferring those savings into the special accounts, it suggests that the government’s plan is working! The Govt's plan is to increase saving an...

The answer is D by process of elimination. Negating each option and checking if the argument falls apart is the best way to deal with a tricky assumption question. (A) Universities are the only institutions that have an obligation to guarantee intellectual freedom. [there could be other institution...
