The required statments only comes when X and Y are of different signs - hence XY<0 solves the equation.

Plug with numbers and try - its like a number property rule I think

st two can be written as |a|+|b| = |c|+|d|

sqare root of (x^2) means |x|

now square both sides and use st 1 ull see a^2 + b^2 = c^2 + d^2

Another algebraic way of doing it ( if you are like me and dont trust your skill to pick good numbers )

n=8(i) , where I is an integer
k = 4(j), where j is an integer

Note : I and J can be even or odd.

So, n/k = 2(i)/j

If J is 2 and I = 3, then odd. If i=3, j=3, then even. Hence E
