If P is a set of integers and 3 is in P, is every possible positive multiple of 3 in P?
(1) For any integer in P, the sum of 3 and that integer is also in P
(2) For any integer in P, that integer minus 3 is also in P

OA is A
since x=y-a
therefor we get y^2=y^2
However for statement 2 we get
y+2a^2=y^2
now if a=0
then we get y^2=y^2
if a is any other number they arent equal
therefore OA is A

OA is B

Take any value say total number of envelopes=09
therefore we get total number of envelopes will be 3+6
cost will be (3*5)+(2*6)=27
now verify the answers which give 27 as the answer
that is B

Statement 1: given a+b=-1
Statement 2: putting x=0 and y=6
we get ab=-6

We have two equations two variables
solving we get 2 solns for a and b
which are just the same and since the question doesnt specifically ask the value of a or b rather the two value
OA is C

Let the time required by both be x Therefore, time taken by Dave= x+20 Time taken by Diana=x+5 Now since its given the time taken by both is x,so, the required equation is 1/(x+20)+1/(x+5)=1/x Solving we get x=10 (Discarding the -ve value) Now since x=10 Ration will be (10+20)/(10+5) =>2:1 OA is B

OA is C
which should be preceded by what it is referring to.
Here it is referring to the inexperience, therefore, rule out A,B and D
Now for E which refers to non-essential therefore it should also be preceded by a ','
Therefore rule out E

OA is C
