You will have 5 laminated spiral-bound yellow sheets. Each side of the sheets is usable except for the first page, so 9 usable sides.

OG 11 questions are ordered by difficulty. If you can do the problems at the end of each section with no problems, then you are well on your way to improving your score.

MGMAT CAT exams are also considered quite difficult. I believe they offer one for free on their website so you can try that out.

I know Manhattan GMAT allows you to sit in on the first class for free, and Veritas Prep may also allow that. I would definitely take advantage of that opportunity and see which course fits your learning style the best.

Hi khurram, During the last few days before my actual test, I did exactly what you did and took the GMAT Prep exams over and over. What this did was expose me to the hardest questions that were the most representative of the actual exam. Doing this also got me used to the look-and-feel of the GMAT i...

Hey billu,

I just wanted to let you know that Manhattan Turbocharge is not a product of "Manhattan GMAT" but is actually from another company called "Manhattan Review".

A prep course can teach you strategies on how to more effectively approach the GMAT, but it is still up to you to study, do practice problems, and take practice CATs. Even the best prep course can't help you if you don't study diligently.

This problem is testing the triangle property that states that 2 sides summed together must be bigger than the third side. Let's find what the third side could be: 1. 6 or smaller. This is because 2 + 5 = 7, so the third side must be smaller than 7 2. 4 or bigger. This is because the second side is ...

If you're wondering if the 2009 Kaplan CAT exams will be updated, my 2008 CD contained the same questions as my friend's 2004 CD. I doubt the 2009 CD will have anything earth-shattering.

You can also pick some numbers to make this easier. Assume container capacity is 8. We need to find the time for when it is 1/8 full. (1/8) * 8 = 1 So we need to find what time the container was at 1. We are given that the container is half full at 10AM 10AM -> (1/2) * 8 = 4 We are also given that t...

Re: Studying prior to prep course

Hi, Which prep course you have chosen? I have decided to go for Veritas Weekend coaching. In my city(Melbourne), there is no other choice(no other classes, no regular classroom choice as well). I have heard Manhattan GMAT is better than Veritas. But as I am not in US, I have decided to go for Verit...

To build on what barron is saying, this is what I see for each answer choice:

A: The victims practiced falling only in the 1950's decade
B: The victims were learning to live in the 1950's decade
C: Same as B
D: Same as A
E: Finally gets it right. In the 1950's, the victims practiced falling

The sentence makes it sound odd, but "any people" is correct usage.

"Are there any people in here who want a high GMAT score?"

As you probably already know, "anyone" is incorrect because it is singular while the others are plural.

(d) treats the issue as though it's a hypothetical - in those situations, we need the subjunctive tense. So, for (d) to be correct, it would have to read "if there WERE a repudiation ...". I believe E is incorrect for the same reason. E uses the simple future when in fact the subjunctive ...

moneyman wrote:Can somebody please explain why 3^11 has been ignored in the calculation??
If you want the mathematical reason:

5^28 = 37252902984619140625
3^11 = 177147

5^28 + 3^11 = 37252902984619317772

Look how little effect the 3^11 had on the 5^28. It's basically still 5^28.

Great job. I took my exam recently and got a 50Q and 40V. Those 4 extra verbal points only gave me a 730, barely 20 points higher than yours.
